Location: The Game Farm is situated just South of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and 400km from the capital, Gaborone. The road to the farm is fully tarred right up to the main gate. The closest village, Kang, where there is a government clinic, grocery stores, petrol filling stations and vehicle work shops.
Water: There are 5 water points for the animals to drink around the farm. There are 2 boreholes (submersible) each producing 40cubes of water per hour. There is a separate generator to operate the boreholes. There are 4 x 5000 liter water tanks supply the house, chalet and staff house with water. Water is pumped directly into the waterholes.
Developments: There is a farm house with 4 bedrooms fully furnished, 4 bathrooms, living area and a storage room. Next to the house is a thatched Lapa and kitchen measuring 120 square meters with a lightening conductor (pole) and outside ablution facilities
Below the Lapa is a Boma (circular structure made with wooden droppers), an African style kitchen and dinning area, open air with a fire pit in the middle and a concrete barbecue stand and oven
Across the Boma and Lapa at the perimeter of the house compound there is a viewing tower which is approximately 8 meters high with a view of the main waterhole about 100 meters from the house, giving an excellent view of animals and bird life. 70 meters South East of the main house is the farm workers compound.
200 meters North East of the house is 4 chalets with thatch roofs, each approximately 30 square meters and is fully furnished. 2 Lapa’s sit between the chalets and a Boma 6 meters in diameter. 2 lightening conductors are situated between the chalets and lapa’s.
All buildings are equipped with hot and cold water by solar and donkey boilers and electricity is supplied by solar power, backed up by diesel generators. (2 generators). There is a tractor used for grading and clearing roads and a quad bike for running errands around the farm.
The land is lease hold for 50 years from 2005, currently 46 years are left
Game: The present population of game of all species is approximately 400+ head of animals (including Eland, Kudu, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Zebra, Springbok, Steenbok, Duiker, Hyena, Jackals, Leopard, Lynx, Ostrich) with a variety of game bird species (including Franklin, Guinea fowl, Sand Grouse). The carrying capacity of game of various species is 1000 head of animals. Hunting is allowed through out the year
Fencing: It is fully fenced for game farming. It is a bonox fence 2.1meters high plus an additional 3 strands of wire making the fence 2.4 meters high. There are straining posts at 100meters and straining boxes at 200 meters with thinner droppers every 10 and 3 meters. There are roads along the perimeter of the farm as well as through the farm
Typographic: This beautiful Game farm consists of a mixture of sweet and sour veldt. Plenty Big trees like Marula and Knob Thorn, Akasia, etc. which form the perfect African sunset over the horizon.
